He won an All-India Nephrology Quiz for all DM Nephrology trainees and was awarded a sponsorship for visiting fellowship in Nephrology division, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, United States. He got MBBS, MD, DM – all degrees in merit through competitive exams in premier institutes and passed out with various awards including University first in DM Nephrology.
